Wet Weather Policy

The condition of Ocean Park is assessed on the morning of scheduled play.  If the condition of our ground is deemed to be unsatisfactory, games will not be played at Ocean Park that morning.

That decision will be communicated to the Illawarra Junior Football Association(IJFA) and the Woonona JFC website updated accordingly.

The IJFA Competition Secretary shall cancel all grounds on a day if 15 Clubs have their grounds unavailable due to wet weather and shall notify Clubs and the relevant radion stations by 7.00am on the day or the previous evening.   

Parents are encouraged to listen to local radio stations and check the Woonona and/or IJFA websites if in doubt.  Please do not telephone radio stations.

If all grounds are cancelled on the day and no games have been played in a specific age/division in that round then all games will be given a 0 - 0 result except for sides with a Bye.  These games will not count towards a player's suspension.

The IJFA Competition Secretary shall reschedule any competition matches washed out, if a match has been played in a specific age/division in that round and providing the matches have a bearing on the semi-final positions.

Coaches/Managers and Parents are reminded that training is not permitted on Ocean Park when the ground is closed.  The Woonona JFC website will be continually updated to reflect the status of Ocean Park.  

Club Socks are only available through the Woonona Club.  At $9.00 per pair, socks can be purchased at the Woonona JFC canteen during weekend games.
